Town Hall Cross V3

Just a quick post here.  This past weekend was the third annual Town Hall Cross that Greg and I cooked up a few years back as a good idea to give back to the sport.  Well, the event BLOSSOMED in a big way this year, nearly doubled our pre-registration from 203 in 2011 to 383 in 2012!  We added some great stuff like gourmet food from Bolete, three kegs of beer and a live band Gallons to Ounces.  It turned out to be quite a party event and fun seemed to be had by all.  And oh yeah, there was racing as well.  Course was muddy from a bunch of rain leading up to the race and it was classic cyclocross.

A photo collage of the day.....

We scrambled to find extra parking, but our donation to the fire company and the two fire police directing parking saved the day.
A sold out field of 100 Cat 4 riders ascends the St. Lukes Staircase on the first lap.  The hill was the easy part!
Greg's ascending...
Newest Lamprey member Joe Pigga finished in the money in the 1/2/3 race.  Oh, did I mention there was mud?
Cross is fun, teammates are awesome!
Marten putting on a charge in the 1/2/3.  Look at the crowd cheering on!
Joe going for it early in the 1/2/3.
Kids race was a huge hit, so big we ran out of prizes.  Will change that for next year.
My first 1/2/3 race, 60 minutes with no warm up or anything.  17/25 finishers, I'll take it.  Going motocross style through the ruts here.
There will be mud.  Pinky got the call up today, she has 36/27 gearing for the hill climb!
Joshua was all smiles.  My favorite shot...ever.
Cooling down on the baseball diamond.
A happy race director, sporting the 2012 edition shirt!
Specialized hooked us up BIG TIME.  We raffled off a frameset and had some of the best prizes around.
